If you can’t fund the humor in being a mom, you’re either going to spend a lot of time drinking, or end up in a straightjacket. Or, if you’re lucky, both.
As a mom of four, I’ve learned simply to lower my expectations of my children, so I won’t be disappointed. Really? I love my kids for who they are not what they do- and I know there are a few moms around who could benefit from THAT wisdom.
Anyhoo- Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there who get it. We’re not trying to perfect motherhood, we’re just trying to survive it.
